So, on Thursday J invited me out to grab something to eat. He's having a tough go of it. The man that trained him is dying and he just wanted to take his mind off of it. So, we went out to grab some pizza and the next thing I know it's 2200 and I'm sitting in a bar singing at the top of my lungs. It's karoke night. Of course, I hadn't had any liquid courage(I had to work the next day) but it was fun nonetheless. J did go up on stage and sang a Vanilla Ice song. He was amazing. People jumping on stage and this guy(who he thought was hot) jumped up on stage and rapped with him.

One annoying thing was this chick who brought her baby into the bar.  Technically it was a cafe because they served food but seriously? The music is blasting, there's cigarette smoke(no smoking in the place but you know how smoke lingers on clothes) and she brings her 5/6 month old kid? Yay, mama of the year you are.

So yeah, this shook me out of my slump and J wants to do it again next week. Next schedule out we have the same days off so should be good times. I'll probably start working on my stories soon~ish. And I'll be getting to all the stories that I've missed since I really haven't been on the internet for the last few days.

And what HAVE I been doing? I was fixing my gaming shelf(shut your face!:P) and I stumbled across a PC game I'd brought a year ago on sell. Just a few shots for good times. Plus...I've been reading the Twilight series. J is super excited...me? Not so much! I think I'm going to reread LOTR and some Jane Austen and maybe move onto Bronte or something.

Opening graphic. Dude, that wolf is fierce. The Witcher was developed by a Polish company. They first game!

Geralt is the main character. He's lost his memory and has to relearn all this stuff again. I was surprised my laptop plays the game so well.

Cut scene.

Where is the freakin; torch? I got my butt handed to me by a ghoul because I couldn't see it in the dark! GAH!

Good lord, the woman who brought her baby in there is a moron! I hope someone at least told her to get out of there. Seriously, some people should just never be allowed to have children.

Huh. I've never heard of that game before (apart from Sims 2, I don't really play any PC games), but it looks like fun. I love RPGs because they're like playing out a story. All of my friends are about the graphics, but I couldn't care less about graphics as long as a game has a great storyline (a là Legend of Zelda or OMFGTALESOFSYMPHONIA!!) and at least a decent playstyle (probably the only reason I never liked Fire Emblem--if I wanted to play chess, I'd use a board).

And then of course, I'll occasionally go for something short and cute, like Yoshi's Story (squee!!), or for large groups, something like Smash Bros... or Rock Band :P

Sorry, totally nerding out on your comments section... moving on...

Glad you and J had fun with karaoke. Karaoke = WIN

Wow, the graphics look sick.

I've been to kereoke about two times but I've never actually sung. And I don't think I'll ever try it, thank you very much. For one, the singers that go up are awesome.

The mom bringing the baby in... it's kinda... funny. I could imagine her bring the kid in those car seat things. I know, I know, I'm weird....

I'm glad you had a good time with J; sounds like it was ariot! =) I'd love to do karaoke but at the same time I am much too shy. I'm sure it would take a LOT of liquid courage for me to get up there.

Someone brought a baby in there?! Wow, she's a brilliant mother isn't she? -.-

That game looks pretty good!

Oh god, once me and my sister got up to do Grease Lighting, then just before the song started she ran off. I had to sing it by myself, god it was embarrassing. And I'm glad you're feeling better, J sounds hilarious. And that game look pretty cool. I have a game shelf too :)
