Glad to see LJ is working on the regular again! :) In other news I got my passport, I still have to go pick up my maid of honor dress and my sister should be coming back from Switzerland either today or tomorrow. My work schedule is about to change(going back on nights!) so more posts will be during the day! Got a new guy working the desk which is strange since it's always been females but meh! *shrug*

Hoping to work on an update this weekend(I work tonight and then have 4 days off! HUZZAH!) but with my gram being here and trying to get her settled it may be slow going.  Plus, ya know, all the other games I play!:P

This is how I wore my hair to work Friday(it's my going out style sometimes!) and everyone loved it. I think mainly because I either wear my hair in a puff or in a larger type 'fro because of the SOP and the dress code. But Friday I felt like doing something different and even tossed on some going out clothes(undershirt required of course!:P Cleavage is a no no!). Of course, than I got the third degree from the officers. Such as: "Who is he?", "Did you run him?" "Have him come up to the PD." Riiiight!! Haha! Gotta love those guys!

Of course I don't always have positive reactions with my hair and it's mainly from older black females. I'm good at letting things roll off my back and when I get annoyed I get really polite so they don't know how to react. Yeah, I'm good with that. One of the ladies at work(who HATES 'kinky' hair as she put it!) actually dug her fingers into my hair and told me how long it was getting! O_o Thank you but...I don't dig my fingers into your hair! There's an officer at work that's going natural and asks me tips and what not. She's upset because her hair doesn't curl at the end like mine does but I keep telling her all hair is different and she's transitioning(meaning she's letting her relaxer grow out and cutting the processed parts). I big chopped(literally BC'ed since I shaved all my hair off and just wore wigs the first year I worked there until Smitty told me to take it off! LOL!). I wish I would have taken pictures of the whole process but...meh!

I'm loving my hair and henna gives it the slight color it has. I find that natural hair products work better for my hair rather than the ones I get from the store. I've spent hours on the internet reading reviews, scouring sites, looking at ingredients...it's fun for me! LOL!! My sister, who is also natural, is thinking about starting to mix her own products which would be awesome!

Don't get me wrong I'm not one of those natural chicks that look down on relaxed hair or goes into spiels about how I'm rocking the hair that God gave me. Do you and what makes you happy and I'm happy for you! It just saves me money in the long run since GA is so hot and I sweat like nobodies business! I had to get touch ups every 4-6 weeks...unlike my mom who can go 2 months without one! I still haven't watched that documentary by Chris Rock: 'Good Hair'. It's on my DVR but I've heard about it. Some good, some bad!

Anyways, I've rambled long enough about random ish but I've been thinking about this for awhile. And Friday just showed me something about the people at my job.

Alright, think I'm going to go watch Shaun of the Dead again...or maybe Just Wright. I wish Boardwalk Empire had more episodes on On Demand since I haven't finished watching them all!! :(

Just been silent and playing the game.  It helps take my mind off of things.  Finally have a date for mom's surgery so I should be around for the next few weeks.  Gonna try to catch up on the updates that I missed.  I've just been in a blah mood! BLAH!! A friend took me out to see Red with Bruce Willis, MORGAN FREEMAN(I ♥ that man)!!! and a host of other good actors.  It was better than I thought it was going to be. Hrmm...I think that's about it! I can't wait for Late Night to come out for TS3. Super excited for that one!:P

This was supposed to be up yesterday(and y'all that read LT know why I picked this particular family!:P) but I ended up spending the day with my mom since, ya know, it was a day about her!:P It was pretty good! It started off rocky since I kinda messed up her car(Please ignore the yellow scrape going down the passenger side okay ma?) but other than that it was fabulous! LOL!! I cooked her breakfast, got her some flowers and a card and then we chilled just watching any movie that she wanted to see on netflix since she FINALLY used the disk that I had got specifically for her Wii! Good times, good times!

I hope all the mother's out there had a good time. And to the non-mothers I hope you enjoyed your day of noting having your children try to do grand gestures that you just had to clean up!:P Yeah...I remember those earlier years! LOL!!
